There are two types of solar energy Photovoltaic and Solar Thermal.
Photovoltaic (PV) produces DC electricity, Solar Thermal produces hot water.
At Sol Heat we combine PV and and Solar Thermal technologies in our domestic systems to provide hot water which is produced totally from the sun's energy with no mains electricity connection.
A Sol Heat Domestic Solar Water Heating system will: -
- Provide around 70% of your domestic hot water reducing your water heating bills
- Heat your water throughout the year
- Integrate with most types of heating system
- Require no scheduled maintenance
- Reduce CO2 emissions by up to one ton per year

Our range of solar collectors are constructed from the highest quality materials and provide the highest level of performance of any solar collector. Our solar collector design is based on advanced yet proven technology and are designed to operate in all climates.
Sol Heat solar collectors incorporate the most advanced vacuum tube technology, allowing them to heat your water when there is no direct sunshine and it is freezing outside.
Connecting to your Water Supply
Sol Heat solar water heating system work with all types of domestic hot water system and will provide free hot water for the next 30 years and more.
Installation
Our system usually takes 2 - 3 days to install.
Maintenance
No scheduled maintenance and no user input once installed.
Sol Heat Solar water heating systems are eligible for grant funding.
You can claim a £400 grant when having a domestic system installed in England, Northern Ireland or Wales and up to 30% of the total cost if your property is located in Scotland.
As a further incentive a fully fitted system is normally subject to only 5% VAT
