Grants for Microgeneration in the UK
Solar Water Heating
Sol Heat solar water heating systems meet the UK Clear Skies grant requirements, and also the Inland Revenue Enhanced Capital Allowance Scheme, all UK companies and organisations benefit in some form by the government’s push toward sustainable energy and microgeneration when installing solar water heating systems.
In Scotland domestic installations receive 30% of the total installation cost of up to £4,000 from the SCHRI.
Community grants are available from the Energy Saving Trust, Community Heating Scheme.
Communities in Scotland benefit from SCHRI funding, SCHRI may provide a large percentage of the total installation cost.
All businesses qualify for the Inland Revenue Enhanced Capital Allowance Scheme, allowing the full installation costs to be written off in the first year.
All grant applications require that both Sol Heat and yourselves complete the application forms, we are pleased to assist in the completion of the forms and advise on funding options.
Air Source Heat Pumps
Air source heat pump grants are not currently available in England and Wales. The SCHRI do provide substantial grants for air source heat pumps throughout Scotland.
